Have changed the name of the Forum to the North East Lancashire Area Forum. Hopefully this will generate a larger membership as just being Hyndburn Group, even though it was open to all, we were rather restricted in numbers!

More updates and a little tidying up on the Links page.
06th July 2008
Have updated the site a little. The RA logo is now under the navigation panel due to the length of text that needs to accompany it on RA related pages. Have also changed the intro at the top of the page slightly.
Have also tidied up the Archive pages as they were out of alignment - in particular the previous Walk Programme pages and the Walk Report pages.
19th June 2008
Now is the time everyone should start thinking about their walks for next year. The 2009 Walks Programme Meeting is being held on Monday 15th September 2008 at the Lock Street Club in Oswaldtwistle commencing at 7.30pm. All current and any prospective leaders are invited to attend.
Do keep in mind that public transport can be used for some walks and if we can get a few doing so it would be great. If you could please lay out your walks as per the Group Programme then it does make the job of co-ordinating them easier.
If you cannot attend but would like to submit some walks then please do Email Us the details.

Due to holidays only six Committee members attended but a lot was discussed on the night, from Wind Farms to the 2009 Walks Programme. A brief summary has been compiled by the Group Secretary, Sue Baxendale, and if you wish to read these then please click HERE*.

Well that was quick!! After some quick and nifty work we now have a whole new Forum!! Linked directly into the site it will hopefully not succumb to the same fate as the last one. Unfortunately all the info and postings contained on the old forum have been lost but I'm sure things will return to something of a similar style in due course. Sorry but anybody who had registered before will now have to re-register in order to post on a subject/topic. Anybody can read the posts though!
Please do have a look and join the forum as it is a good place in which to discuss all manner of things walking.
All that remains is for me to give you the link! Click the following and you will be transported there....

Sorry folks but unfortunately the Hyndburn Group Forum has had to be disabled due to somebody illegally accessing the server and changing the home page. Hopefully this will be rectified soon. May I take this opprtunity to apologise on behalf of the Hyndburn Group if you have accessed and seen the offending material.
